Hi!

I built the blueberry as a gift to the bass player in my band. He loves it and he really likes the low end almost fully CCW on the nature knob. But wishes to be able to dial in more treble. According to the website, N1 and N2 can each get a C50K pot. It's also suggested to change C14 to 22nF and R18 to 2K0. Since the package did not come with these parts, I was wondering if the supplied parts for modification can also be used and what would the difference be? I received a 220nF (can I use it for C14?) and a 4K7 resistor (can I use it for R18?)

I am away from the pedal but looking at the manual I see that C14 is already 22nF and R18 is alrwady 2K. So that means that to have separate treble and bass all I need to do is wire a C50k pot to N1 and another to N2? And if so, which will be treble and which will be bass? And lastly, one terminal of the pot to ground, the middle terminal to n1 or n2, and the third terminal unused? And if so, which one should go to ground and which is left unused? Thanks for any help!

Hi there,

If you use the suggested values 22nF (0,022uF) and 2K0 and 50KC and I believe you can easily get those parts in NYC and you

wire this new 50KC in same fashion as the one allready there you will get a treble control I think your bassist might like.

Note that this is not a drastic control but on bass it makes the difference of AIR if you will.

You can of course use the parts that were supplied to your kit but it will make a harder sound.

Hi there,

Oh and

You wire the Treble control like this take a wire from N2 to terminal 3 of Treble control.

Terminal 3 is the terminal that viper meets when fully CW. Run a wire from ground to Terminal 2.

Terminal 2 is the viper that moves along the carbon trace.

This means both Bass and Treble are wired the same way and what they do is controlling the resistans in series with N1 and N2 terminals
